Here is a good video of how to keep your items from rusting in the first place. I don't think those scrapers are absolutely necessary (they were $5 a pair last week but have increased). See the other videos re/ scrubbers, etc, you can use.

Here is a guide from Townsends, a YouTube channel I'm subscribed to, for its historical value.

Here is a restoration guide by Cowboy Kent Collins which looks great! Credit to @mapax, this channel is wonderful. This guy is very endearing. His comments about using "love" and passing down your cast iron to your descendants was charming.

      If you're logged in as a prime member, it'll show as $113.39. However, if you're a standard member or not logged in, it'll revert to the Amazon AU price ($162.51) as it's the cheapest when factoring in shipping :)

    Shipping is free with Prime. Hmmm, no idea why it's showing these different prices. It's showing up at the stated price which I have just confirmed with a representative. AU$113.39 + free shipping with Prime and no International shipping fees, as per doweyy's info and info on the site.

      Better than the skillet in doweyy's deal? It's the same one (10.25 inches - ~26cm), plus extra items. If you mean price-wise, I'd say yes, based on the prices of the items, if bought individually.

      I mean technically all you need to cut your lawn is a line trimmer but it doesn't mean there aren't other / better tools for the job.

      I'd say the smaller skillet could be utilised for small omelettes or quiches, etc, so it would be useful in that respect. The Dutch Oven would be great for baking bread, especially having the lid, as well as roasts (particularly for people who don't have large ovens that could accommodate a 12" skillet - plus handle). The lid would be useful in the 10.25" skillet as well, not to mention to keep food protected when camping.

      This is a little convoluted, but here goes.

      I had placed an order at $113, but forgot to use Shopback, so I canceled it and reordered. But the initial authorisation was giving me a headache because I move all my funds into a passbook account, and never leave enough in my ATM card. So I canceled it all together. I was just now having a look at Amazon and noticed the price-drop, so I bought it for $89 (then came here to update the price - and found your message and the price already changed). BUT, I forgot to use Shopback again! Lol. I'm not going through all that again, so I'm not going to worry about any cash back this time, and the price is great, so, all good.

    I too paid $113.00. Just contacted Amazon and they will not refund the $24 difference. But guess what they want me to do? Cancel the order, return the goods and re-order at the cheaper price. The problem is that the goods have to go back to the USA and I have to pay for the postage upfront (which on this set is a couple of hundred bucks!!) which Amazon say they will reimburse after the goods arrive at their return destination in good order. Needless to say for the sake of $24 (and the fact that they might go MIA) I won't be returning them.

      Just chat with Amazon and they told me that they will cancel the shipping and therefore the item will be return to them. Once they will receive the item, they will refund me full amount.

    I ordered on the 27th & paid $112, just noticed the price drop cpl hrs ago.. Tried to cancel but can't…

    Last ditch effort i emailed CS (live-chat closes @12am), to my surprise i received a reply @1.15am, yes AM..

    Basically said due to the order coming from the US he couldn't cancel it but did say once the item ships, he will personally keep an eye on my order & refund the difference.. Def keeping a copy of this email in case the price increases between now & then…

    YMMV but worth a try for others… Just be nice & u should get a win…

    Admin has removed the "OUT OF STOCK" from the title. I think it's because even though it shows up as ~$162 when you click on my link, if you glance down a little, you'll see "6 new from $89.01". If you click there, you will be taken to a page with a list of options. In that list is the option to buy for $89.01, delivered for free if you have Prime.

    I'm starting to think Prime might be worth buying on an annual basis.

        funny thing is the postage is showing as ~8th July, whereas my original order still says end of July - early August..

    Just got my shipping notification for two sets. They are using DHL express with an ETA of next Monday. Amazon must be spending a pretty penny for this free shipping from the US promotion.
