Some metacritic scores to help some decision making:

    Assault Android Cactus - 86
    Mini Metro - 86
    Death Squared - 78
    Adventure Pals - 77
Super One More Jump - 81

Haven't looked up all the games, but this is a good start

Combine with 10% off Nintendo eShop cards at BigW as part of their Toy sale

  • So.. highest Discount doesn't seem to show the 80% off item.

    • ✚ Super One More Jump (Premo Games/SMG Studio) – $1.59 was $7.99 (80% off)

  • Thanks op! Warlock of Firetop Mountain is awesome. Didn't realize it was aus/nz based. Any other must haves?

Edit: I enjoyed the framed games on my phone as well

I recommend Death Squared and Think of the Children on the condition that you have 3 other people to play with. Death Squared is a great puzzle game imo and Think of the Children can cause some tension and some laughter if you play it with the right group of friends.

Super One More Jump is fun, but kinda like a phone game. Pretty polished though if you're looking for a time waster for under $2.

Don't personally have any of the other games as money is a little tight. Just thought I'd share these for everyone else though

      • Thanks for that. I have super one more jump and I agree that it's definitely worth the price if you're after a time waster. Apparently I have death squared but didn't realize it ;} I'll check out think of the children. Hand of Fate 2 looks pretty awesome as well.

That sounds pretty judgemental. I can guarantee from your assumption you haven't played these games.

And even though it shouldn't matter, Hollow Knight, Golf Story, LA Noire, De Blob and Borderlands The Pre-Sequel are all Australian made games.

      • Have played Hollow Knight and LA Noire. Didn't like HK but LA Noire is actually a big budget AA game that I totally forgot about!

        • So you're only interested in big budget games?

          • @Faro: nope, but I have a preference for them. Nothing wrong with that

            • +3

@first in line: Yeah there isn't. But there's also nothing wrong with asking your question in a way that doesn't shit on Teams of Aussie developers by saying their games are 'poor' just because they don't fit into your specific preferences.
Maybe change the way you frame your questions so you don't feel victimised by down votes and cagey comments in the future.

If any of you pick up Think of the Children I'm always keen to hear your feedback, or any issues you have. My brother made it.

Might have to grab a few of the other titles on here. Cheers for the post.

    • Hmm the game looks interesting. I've been looking for a co-op game to play with my Nephews on my Switch. They've always keen to play Mario Kart but I've been burned out on it.

      • I might have a bias but I think its a great little game for coop. Pretty hard to play alone though.

    • It's a very good coop game but like the overcooked series, as your group gets better you tend to fall into a rythym of tasks that each person tends to do which is fine but when replayed this becomes muscle memory (or level memory?) Which allows breezing through the levels. Maybe an explicit challenge mode where specific tasks can NOT be done by specific players to mix it up?

  • Thanks got Death Squared combined with Nintendo credit from big dubs!

Highly recommend Hand of Fate to anyone who hasn't played the games. You don't need to play 1 to enjoy 2, so just grab the sequel in this sale.

  • I was fairly sure city of brass had been on sale before

  • The discounts largely aren't encouraging

To buy at 40% off I'd need to love it and want to play it soon. Otherwise I buy sometimes at 50% and generally wait for 60%+

    Maybe that's just me.
