Hoping to take advantage of some of the port in deals. I'm out of contract on the Telstra Go Mobile Plus BYO plan. Anyone able to advise the best method, particularly in Brisbane CBD or North Lakes. Which provider to port to, how long I should wait, and best store/salesperson.
I've done it a couple of years ago, and whilst I pulled it off I had some minor hurdles along the way. Any help would be much appreciated.
Don't ask don't tell ? Have read heaps of comments on here that if you port to a vodafone SIM and port back in you won't have any issues.
I myself did it with Vodafone. However I did not have my license on me when signing up at jb so when I ported back in I ported back in onto my wife's family account. And because it was onto a different customer number (can't remember the actual name) it was all sweet.
Talking to my mate who is a store manager he says it only worked because it was onto a different customer number.
Also, if you're going to port into Telstra, I would do it on a Monday morning. Don't do it in a Friday because if it falls, you may not have a service for a few days
T&C says 30 days you need to be with another provider. Last time, people that went under that, the commission's weren't paid to the sales person
