Great tv at a great price. Uses a VA panel vs an IPS in similar sized LG TVs.
2018 model, most likely clearing the last of their stock.

I have found RTINGS website good for comparing tv models https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-x900f-vs-sony-x…
Good Link
Thanks @RTF it's a great link. Good to note that while the X85F received poor results in some sections like 'movies', the 85" version is excluded because it doesn't have the IPS screen like it's smaller siblings
I've had this tv for about a month, can't fault it. Picture quality is great across various sources.
Android tv feels snappy, no issue with any apps.
I bought the 9000f in 75" about 1 year ago for $4k
Excellent picture. Extremely happy with it
Great Price OP
if someone really cares, Dolby Vision is missing.
Anyone here have any experience with an 85" TV and fairly close seating? Rtings seems to suggest 3.63m is optimal, though that still seems like it might be hard on the eyes, and I'm at more like 3.2m.
I'm using this TV from about 3.5m, very immersive.
i used use a 140" projector screen from 4m , thats stunning. your eyes will get adjusted very soon. go the biggest you can and sit the closest you can :)
i now have a 75" with sitting 4m back but feels nothing.
HarveyNorman were selling this for $4244 couple of days ago. Bonus $400 gift card and free delivery.

Do you know which store this was at? The sign says deal is good until 30/6, so I'm keen to try to track this down if possible! Thanks for posting!
Harvey Norman Watergardens VIC 3038
Sign doesn't make sense.
Title says one day only, offer available date was 30/05, bonus offer (i.e. the gift card) has an end date 30/06.
If you can get it at $4k or there abouts with a $400 gift card, jump on it.
$4244 price was for one day only. $400 bonus + free delivery is separate deal going on at harvey which ends on 30/06.
So if HN price beat JB today, you will be able to score $400 bonus card and free delivery.
It's standard price from many stores, e.g.: Binlee. wait for Binglee@ebay next time 15%-20% off
Harvey Norman had it for $3900 last weekend as part of annual clearance, waiting for it to come down further, apparently this has 200Hz True motion rate;
$4246 Delivered at Sony Store - OOS at the moment; https://store.sony.com.au/television-4K-X8500
Thanks, I'm looking for a 85" or maybe larger. I haven't owned a sony before but heard good things. If anyone has any comments/advice on this model vs other brands, I'd love to hear from you! Thanks
