Economy model that is ideal for end-users.
Highly efficient and accurate due to its advanced microprocessor technology.
Meters can be re-calibrated with a mini-screwdriver.
Translucent housing that's very strong and durable.

I saw this on a YouTube video, I thought it would be interesting to try out.

I've never used BangGood, so I assume 10% GST will be added.
This is the cheapest price I can find online, including postage. Apparently first login on APP, it says you get 10% off which would cancel out the GST.(I advise against using the APP, after noticing so many 1 STAR ratings with complaints.)

I saw this a while back, but just realised it ends today so I thought I'd post it straight away.

I bet this doesn't work for Adelaide water…

edit: bdl (above) beat me to it… :(

  • I have one, works on cordial lol πŸ˜‚

  • Not sure when this would be useful??
TDS doesn’t say anything much about water quality.

Water needs dissolved solids to be present to be palatable.
So what is knowing your TDS going to do for you?

    • Yes you are right, it does not indicate the "quality" of the liquid. High reading doesnt mean it is not drinkable eg coconut water reading is in the 1000s. But high reading does indicate there are something else in the "water" if you are testing the water. I bring it on holiday to SEA, i dont let my toddler drink water with high reading not a foolproof plan but better nothing. (sydney tap water around 100 due to addictive, filter bottle water in SEA way below 100)

    • I use one to monitor my aquarium water that is made of RO water with minerals added back so I am sure what the dissolved solids are.

      • +1 that is what they are used a lot for.

  • May help you work out how effective your water filter is in reducing TDS.

    • Pretty much this.

I have a three filter system at home that is just basically two water chambers with various levels of "minerals" and rocks that supposedly filter the water somehow.

Would be interesting to compare with normal tap water and maybe some bottled water.

Definitely useful when travelling through Asia as some parts the water can give you an upset stomach if you are not a native/used to it.

  • Good little unit, great for knowing when my filter needs replacement, or if the system is correctly sealed/filtering, also used for testing supermarket distilled water to find the most pure.
