  • Good bit of kit, seems to be the new normal price range.

    • Until the new line comes out. These are all being shuffled off shelves hence the prices.

  • Very happy with mine. Purchased in previous deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/455516

  • Got the previous deal with the attachment for $20 more - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/455516. Pretty happy with it, just got the grating attachment which is awesome for turning carrots into pie filling.

Anybody has experience with this model vs kenwood chef xl series? Which one would perform better (faster & consistency) in whisking, mixing dough etc.

    • The Kenwood will outperform this. This has a really premium look and feel though, looks great in your kitchen and I enjoy using the bowl-lift lever more than a tilt-head. (sounds weird, I know)

If you're going to make larger quantities of dough I'd go for the Kenwood but if you're just making cakes and smaller quantities of dough (under 1kg) I'd choose this one.

Also worth noting even though the listing only mentions a beater and whisk attachment it does come with a dough hook.

    • My wife is an avid baker and she has both. The Kenwood is hands down better. It is more powerful, better to use. For example, the kitchen aid has a lever you slide from 0-9 for power but the Kenwood has a dial with a big stop button in the middle. It means you don't have to turn the dial all the way back to 0 to get it to stop.

The kenwood also has a light so you can see whats inside the bowl.

The kitchenaid did break on us trying to make crossaints one time but kitchenaid were very good to us and repaired it outside of warranty for free.

Have a look also at the accessories you'll be using as the kitchenaid ones are very expensive (although I think the Kenwood ones are also pretty pricey)

    • @krishr & @che_97 thanks for comments. You re-assured me in buying the kenwood now.
