I’m looking to get prescription lenses for my previously purchased frames. Does anyone have any good recommendations on the cheapest way to do this?
Specsavers quoted me $170 and at that price I might as well just get entirely new frames.

I went down the same road after scratching one of my lenses right in a bad spot. Couldn't find anywhere that made it worthwhile getting new lenses only, so just got entire new frames and lenses.
It seems really wasteful, but I imagine it's to do with the cheaper places like specsavers, only putting a lens into a frame in the factory, not in the store.
Costco, $100 for new lenses only. I think I paid $101 which included backlight filter (?), and blue light filter, plus some other coatings.
I got a deep scratch right where the eye goes, and this was the cheapest option. As long as there is one nearby and you have membership.
Grab some new lenses and frames from Zenni Optical.
Paid $100 for a pair of sunnies a few years ago. Good value.
I've wondered about this, would be very interested to know too.
I'd kinda like to be able to buy cheap frames anywhere I find a good one (eg odd 2nd hand store finds or dhgate replicas) and still be able to use them
Glasses are a massive scam. They cost very little to make, and in some countries (eg Japan and Korea) you can get frames + prescription lenses for under $100 in about 30mins.
Aussies get screwed to the point that we think $200 at specsavers for a few bits of plastic and metal is actually a good deal. Double that if you need thinner lenses.
Or buy from Zenni and pay a much more reasonable amount and hope it doesn't look crap when it's on your face.
(Sidenote for anyone visiting Japan, check out Jins, quick and cheap, from around $60. And their thin lenses don't cost extra. They'll even do an eye test for free)
@Crentist is right, spectacles are ridiculously overpriced here. Very similar story in the US.
But to answer the OP, I can share that the chain called OWNDAYS charges $98 for single vision lenses.
probably would be cheaper just to buy the same frames with new lenses
