Just a 'heads-up' that my points have been doubled, over the weekend, as promised. For those who are not aware, this is due to Amex doubling points needed for future redemptions.

Doubled on the 13th for me.
How much do you spend a year on the card for them to offer this to you?
My guess was that it was for all Platinum Charge Cards. Somewhere else on OzB I was tipped off that with the new redemption rate changes to give them a call. It must have been a couple of months ago that I rang. When I called they confirmed that they would double my points after the new redemption rate changes.
Ah okay. I remember reading the article saying only selected Platinum Charge cardholders were given the offer (I wasn't). Maybe I should've give then a call.
Ring them. They can only say no. Tell them that you were expecting points to be doubled. They should give special treatment for such an expensive card. I did not actually get an offer. I just rang them. And they went away, came back after a minute or 2, and said that I would get it.
Occurred 14 June for me. I am still stuck in the mindset that Amex transfers at 1:1 though, so the points balance looks nice until I remember reality
