I need a SIM for OS travel for four months; thinking Vodafone Red.
Guy in Vodafone shop suggested 2 possibilities:
1) $45/month for SIM only plan, 5GB per month.
2) $45/month for SIM+Phone - first 2 months SIM free right now (special until 21st May), 50GB/month. Pay off the handset and sell on eBay.
I guess the equation is: do I want 50GB of data, and can I sell the phone for what I paid Vodafone for it - $90 (I.e. 2x$45 SIM payment)? Does that sound right? Am I missing something.
(Apologies to anyone who's seen multiple versions of this post as I work out via the medium of this post what I'm being offered here and whether I want it).
(My success with buying SIMs overseas when I arrive has been mixed, particularaly finding ones that will cover eight or nine countries, so I feel Vodafone Red though exy, is probably the way to go, though I'm open to alternatives.)
