i tried staticice for this, but the prices on the search were half the prices displayed on the actual website. must be a glitch or something.
im just looking for a normal internal DVD RW, nothing fancy, no need for bluray at all.

Are all new cases black now days?
Up until a few years ago, the retail burners included 2 face plates. But even digging through my spares I fiund that there are subtle differences in shape, even between models from the same brand (eg: LiteOn)
llama, that one above that manja linked to has 2 face plates, black and cream. I also bought one for my mum ~18mths ago, it was the ASUS DRW-22B1LT, and it came with both colours.
I was hoping for cheaper than $30. I can buy a DVD player for $30.
Thanks - The last one I bought was a retail boxed Lite-ON iHAS324 for about $25, and unlike every other burner I've ever bought, this one only had the black face. I didn't expect it with OEM from my local markets, but retail boxed I thought it would be a given to get 2 colours. Mind you, I am not sure I'd pay $30 + delivery for that Asus!
Surely you can find it locally for a similar price.

The $19 one isn't worth getting delivered, cheapest shipping is $29. But you can pick up if you're nearby. Otherwise have a look at the others, lots under $30. None in QLD though.
Found a Samsung SATA from MSY, for $26. Can pickup at my local store. Will probably go with that.
I also am keen to find a cheap one of these. I have a PVR with an external SATA port (not e-SATA. It's regular SATA), which i can plug a DVD-ROM drive in to, and play DVD's. Unfortunately can't plug a BluRay in, only DVD.
Need the face plate to be black or dark in colour, because my PVR is black, and the internal dvd-rom will be external. I will have to make some sort of case for it.
