Unlocking Portable Wi-Fi Modem on eBay

Hello! I'm new to mobile broadband modems and have been looking for one for a while.

Saw this deal, for $20 doesn't seem too bad. But it says that I can use this eBay listing to unlock it, in that listing it says "I will send this item by postal mail. Sending this item by email or by any other digital delivery method is not allowed and violates eBay policy." Has anyone bought or knows if they're really going to send it via mail or if they just have to say that to not violate eBay policies?

  I have the same model, and it didn't need unlocking. It was unlocked from the get go, so try it with another sim to see if yours is the same

    Huh, really? There goes my dollar :(

    Did you get yours from Kmart as well? Or Officeworks? Hopefully mine comes unlocked too.

  They will send by eBay message/email. The post thing is just to give them protection from users canceling the order after they get the code.
