  • G2A selling for 90.39 AUD, including order fee. And there is cashreward.

  • whaa? so we're saving how much?

    • Cashrewards G2A @2.8% would be around 2.33. Your total would be $88.06

If you really want a bargain, always have the G2a site on your browser and check once a while. Roughly 2-3 times every year, there’s a massive price drop which lowers the eshop cards down significantly.

I’ve done this couple times already and paid about 70 aud for $70 usd card.

G2A refused to send me them last time I purchased at that price. Their 'reason' was that it was raising some security flags, even though they were happy to sell me them at full price for years with no such issues.

  • Assuming LVLGO is a similar thing to G2A?

What's the risk, if any, of getting scammed (code already used), or even worse, getting banned by Nintendo (code bought with stolen credit card, with chargeback to Nintendo, followed by account/system ban for redeeming the fraudulent code)?

    • Yeah I always feel its risky buying codes from places like these. Is it really worth a $10-15 saving?

Yeah, I've avoided buying anything from G2A (for PC) all these years, just to avoid any potential risk.

But for ban-happy Nintendo in particular, I'd be even extra wary! I have read multiple reports of people getting their account/Switch banned due to chargebacks on their credit card (eg. eShop payment accidentally going through twice, with one payment being charge-backed, resulting in a ban!). I haven't read anything specifically about accounts/Switches being banned for fraudulent codes (purchased with stolen credit cards), but I wouldn't put it passed them!

I'm just scared to buy any code for Switch that has any possibility of being fraudulent, just in case it ends up getting my Switch/account banned!

edit: Here you go - banned after purchasing game code from a third party, after chargeback on original fraudulent purchase of code:

Yikes! (I assume the same would apply to eShop credit too, if the eShop credit was originally purchased with stolen credit cards)

Bought, worked but as has been said it isn't much of a saving honestly… Was about $94 through PayPal… Conversion on Google usd to aud is about $101au for $70usd

Yeah I have not up voted this as I don't think its really a "deal" with the exchange rate being so abysmal.

Do you still think you have saved money overall by purchasing games from the US store?

      • Sometimes yes, they are pretty good with the conversion but sometimes there are sales on the US store we don't get
