Hello team
I had set up a bankwest telenet saver account years back when I was a uni student. It was linked to a Bigsky account (small nonbank lender). I withdrew all my online savings money and closed my Bigsky account a few years ago (maybe 8 or 10 years ago). This bank then became australian unity finance.
I had some spare cash in another Bankwest account and so transferred it into my telenet savings account, not knowing that I had it linked to my now non existent account at Bigsky.
Now I can't access this money. Bankwest are demanding to see a closure statement from Bigsky, which I don't have. They are not being helpful at all despite live chat 6 days ago and sending in a message via the secure messaging service once logged into Bankwest.
Surely it's my money and they have to let me access it?
Anyone have any ideas>
Don’t tell them the Bigsky story.
Keep it simple and ask how you change your linked account.
I’m not sure if this form is current, you could ask.

Alternatively just open a transaction account with Bankwest, it should be fast, if not instant because you already have an account with them.
Once you’ve done that it should be straightforward to request the new transaction account is the linked account.
