Release in 2020 + my traditional wait for bug free 'Game of the year' edition means I won't be playing this for a long long time.

Let me know how it goes. Will still be waiting for when it goes on sale for $10 on amazon

      • Love these comments!
        You wise wise people

      • While the bugs are fixed, TPB is a good platform for playable demos

In the other words, you mean the full version?

      Triple-A Game Development Life Cycle:

This is CDPR. Have some respect =p don't get me wrong get they better with age (eg blood and wine etc) but their release quality is fantastic!

Their quality and polish is the type of game I want to see, so I support with my wallet.

Otherwise yeah I only get goty stuff, and suffice with free offerings off gog and epic. And of course war3 maps!

        • +1

Took em quite awhile to get the bugs out of the Witcher 3. Their support is great but in hindsight I’d preferred if my first play through was post patches.

          • @beyondtool: Totally true and the performance related ones for certain PC configurations did actually damper my own experience quite a bit, but that's still far from what's seemingly the norm for publishers like Ubisoft or Actvision, while EA and Bethesda have gotten practically criminal in recent years.

          • @beyondtool: yeah there is some major rose tinted goggles when it comes to witcher 3. Amazing game, but it had loads of bugs at launch.

The worst one I can remember was the XP bug from quests.

      • Yep. I pretty only play games when fully finished, cleaned up, and stable, and a nice single neat package.

Release date is still 10 months away. Is preordering from an unauthorised reseller really a smart idea?

  • -1

Pretty sure they not a reseller. Think they buy keys cheap from different regions then sell it. Morally reprehensible but for bargainers standard fair… or for me at least

    • +1

Pretty sure they not a reseller.

      .

Think they buy keys cheap from different regions then sell it.

You literally just described them as reselling keys…

Why not just use a VPN yourself? If you set your country to something like Argentina or Russia it'll probably only cost you around $45

edit: ~$41.67 from GOG Argentina. There you go!

    • I think CD Project Red owns GOG or there is some kind of ownership relationship there somewhere.

  • +1

CD Projekt or no, pre ordering games increases the chance of a lemon release, buy it when the reviews are good. Witcher was years ago, companies can change. Dont give them reason to half-arse and move on.

    • +8

This is still pretty much their first major follow up to Witcher 3 though, bit unfair to shit on them like they metamorphosed into EA since then.

    • It’s got Keanu Reeves as a main voice actor though? How can a game with Keanu be bad? cough Enter the Matrix cough

  • +2

What's the point of buying this early? Its not even a great price …

  • +1

You should never pre-order, just have looks at the past. No Man Sky, Starwars Battlefront and list goes on.

    • +2

Common sense should tell you how ridiculous it is to bundle those nuffies with CDPR.

People were laughing at the No Man's Sky claims a long time before release; if you got burnt on that you deserve it.
