This or evo 860?
EVO 860 by a long mile.
https://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Samsung-860-Evo-1TB-vs…
Random write is 13% slower, but sequential writes are only 6% slower. The Evo 860 is 20-30% more expensive, though. I disagree that the 860 EVO is better by a long mile.
Note, the 860 EVO is rated at 600 TBW, whereas the mx500 is "only" 360 TBW. Both have 5 year warranties.
360 vs 600TBW is pretty long mile in my book. Besides performance users would be going for NVME anyway.
I'd pay the 20 bux difference for the Samsung.
As Crucial states, 360TBW is 200GB per day for 5 years. That's more than enough.

It's meaningless for almost all users since they don't come anywhere near 360 let alone 600.
Does if anyone know if they come with 7.5mm to 9mm spacer or are these present by default in the box?
All the Crucial SSDs I've bought in the past had the spacer in the box.
Can these be used in a NAS?
Sure
Would this or the 1tb qvo samsung drive be better
usage would be for games so only reads matter for me
Thanks, Smogul, bought.
Christ, SSD's just keep dropping…
Wish mechanical disks would do the same…
Or quality RAM!
$143.20 for 1TB.
Wait or jump?
Thanks Op. I went to buy but ended up with the 860 Evo if same size for $183.20 less $20 cash back from Samsung.
That's also a good purchase! :)
I agree. I figured $20 more for a Samsung seemed like a good deal.
I have to stop buying this!!!
Good value drives. Vs the bx* series, these may be older but they are faster due to having cache. For 1tb this is good!
