Accor Hotels Booking through ShopBack

Hey guys!

I made several bookings with Accor Hotels through ShopBack towards the end of last month when the cashback rate was temporarily up to 9% (normally up to 6%), but for some reason, I did not receive a single tracking confirmation email for any of them. However, the click activity are showing for all of them. I've made several Accor Hotels purchases before this period (when the cashback rate was up to 6%), and had no tracking issues whatsoever. This time, I've had to manually report all of the missing cashback, which was a real pain.

What I'd like to know is, has anyone else made an Accor Hotels booking during the end of last month, and if so, have you received tracking confirmations from ShopBack? If you have, is the cashback amount reflecting the increased rate?

I've already asked ShopBack regarding this, and they didn't seem to have a clue.

  • Not Accor but none of my Hilton ones are tracking on Shopback or Topcashback

  • I booked 3 hotels in mid May at 6% and had tracking issues for all 3 and had to report them manually.

  • Seems like it's a known issue, then. I might have to switch over to CR, even if their rates are a bit lower. Thanks for your replies.

  • I also had issue getting an Accorhotels.com booking in May via Shopback to track and had to lodge a claim.

  • Another here who had to lodge a claim for Accor. It now shows as Pending but I have bot had anything back from Shopback acknowledging the claim. Also had issues with Nord via Shopback

  • I had to book four transfers with klook and each has to be paid for separately. There was increased cash back at the time. I only received the higher amount in one. Also, with amazon us, the cash back was split out over each of the three books. One was $70 and I got like $1 fir this book. It’s puzzling.

    Sometimes it seems to track even when I don’t click through, so there is that….

  • if you booked at Accorplus member pricing, no cashback via shopback.

    I use cashrewards which works well for Accor

    • I've always received my cashback from both CR and SB for my stays as an Accor Plus member. Why do say that no cashback is available for AP members with SB?

  • Guys, check your cashback amount to see if it is line with the appropriate cashback rate. It looks like SB have not passed on the 9% (which was the rate at the time of booking) and are only providing 6%. Time to chase them up again.
