Not sure if I needed to buy this (especially with newer Android TV's), but I think it's the cheapest it's been for a while..
Bought with 28 Degrees MC incase it hits that sweet $168 price again.
Probably a 2019 model coming out next week knowing my luck.

  What do you guys think of Amazon firestick versus this?

  I find firestick has most things I need(mainly VPN) with various streaming apps.
