Pretty sure ps plus gives u sonic mania.
The one sold by jb and any other physical version is called “sonic mania plus” which includes all the additional dlc.
To clarify the differences are two new characters and the Mania levels have a remix version, altering their layout and colour palette. So I guess it is for those that intend to replay a few times.
Looks like Sonic Mania is only available in three stores in Melbourne…none of which are near me :(

The game reviewed well on all platforms with the exception of the Switch due to technical issues the game had at launch
HOWEVER, the game has since been patched and I believe most of the initial issues are fixed.
I bit the bullet using a $15 coupon from JB that brought it down to $10.69 delivered.
Worth noting the game on PC has been free previously with the Epic store and cheaper ($9) on PS4 and XB1 at old EB sales
Rime is an absolute gem!
If you're like me and have a PS4 and Switch be mindful Sonic Mania is the free game on playstation plus this month.
