  • Excellent software, not 100% what photoshop and illustrator are yet, but enough that on my new computer I didn't install any adobe products.
Their Publisher (indesign alternative) software will be released later this month as well, I was using the beta for the last few months and it was working perfectly for my needs.

    Highly recommended

Can only agree. I have all three, I use Designer and Publisher often. Those who were using the Beta have been offered at 30% discount on the upcoming release which I have taken them up on.

It will be interesting to see how long they can last with the free upgrades concept ?

Now I just need a decent DAM so I can ditch LR and be Adobe free ! I have asked Affinity and they are working on it but it's along way off apparently :(

The 1.7 release is supposedly finally HDR compliant, which was a gripe when using it on my Surface Pro 3, albeit I haven't checked it yet.

      • I don't do too much photography but was reading about Darktable (https://www.darktable.org) recently, apparently pretty good, but I haven't used it.

The free upgrades are only until V2 is released from what I have read, but I think I have been using designer and photo for 4 maybe 5 years, so for the $60 bucks I paid for each thats much better then 2 months of adobe… Serif have been around since the 90's maybe, making windows desktop publishing software, so I don't see them giving up any time soon…

  • If you buy Apple Gift cards at 15% off, You'll get an extra 15% off buying these using those cards.

  • Thanks OP. I have Photo and Designer on PC and they're great. Just picked up the iPad version for our new iPad pro! Didn't think of using the iTunes gift cards but I still think $25 is a good price.

    • I can't get it to detect pressure from my tablet's pen on windows, is it working for you if you use a tablet?
      Tablet is Huion Kamvas 13

      • I just bought the iPad version, and I don't have a pen or tablet for the PC version I've already got, so can't help you with any Kamvas issues sorry.
