Whiplash (2014)
What does the explosion say?
Been looking everywhere (Melbourne) after the mushroom popcorn variety, these are the butterfly variety. Any tips on where to find them greatly appreciated!
I didn’t know that was a thing until having some from Aldi recently.
Did you find any locally?

Still a lot more expensive than some kernels and a paper bag!
Laziness costs money.
where do you get the kernels from??
Serious question, Could not find in COles/Woolworths
Coles sells it.
woolies sells it, but not in the same shelf though, bags of kernels 500gr
But far cheaper than from a cinema.
Honestly I would do it the natural way if I knew a good popcorn butter recipe.
Also clean up costs time and money (and in my use case noise lol).
At least with microwave popcorn it is maybe 3 minutes max of me fiddling in the kitchen then I am out.
2 mins 35 seconds I find is the best time for these.

You must have a low wattage microwave then; someone who has a 1100 watt microwave wouldn’t put it in for that long as the popcorn would most likely turn black
It is an old one I think maybe 700 to 800 watt.
So maybe 2 mins for 1100 watt microwave to be safe?
@AlienC: Yeah, two minutes is perfectly fine for 1100 watts. I have a 1100 watt microwave and that’s how long I do my microwave popcorn for
@kerfuffle: Yep 2 mins is the best on 1100W. No uncooked kernels left in the bag and no burnt ones.
I thought these bags were carcinogenic or something. The PFA breaking down to perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)which is a carcinogen.

"Generally speaking, even if you don't let your popcorn cool before you open the bag, you're not likely to suffer ill health effects from eating reasonable quantities of microwave popcorn. The studies that have demonstrated harm as a result of chemical exposure have been in cases of factory workers who are exposed to much larger quantities of the chemicals over a much longer period than you would be, preparing and consuming microwave popcorn at home."
So TL;DR the popcorn factory workers are the ones getting carcinogens not the popcorn eaters aka us?
popcorn factory workers
LOL no, likely referring to industrial factory workers exposed to high levels of perfluorooctanoic acid.
Throw in a pack of chocolate covered sultanas afterward. Yum.
