SPIDER-MAN
Average teenager Peter Parker is transformed into an extraordinary super hero after he is accidentally bitten by a radioactive spider. When his beloved uncle is savagely murdered during a robbery, young Peter vows to use his powers to avenge his death. Deeming himself "Spider-Man" he sets about ridding the streets of crime, bringing him into conflict with malevolent super-villain, the "Green Goblin."

SPIDER-MAN 2
Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) gives up his crime-fighting identity of Spider-Man in a desperate attempt to return to ordinary life and keep the love of MJ (Kirsten Dunst). But a ruthless, terrifying new villain, the multi-tentacled Doc Ock, forces Peter to swing back into action to save everything he holds dear.

SPIDER-MAN 3
Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) finally has the girl of his dreams, Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst), and New York City is in the throes of Spider-mania! But when a strange alien symbiote turns Spider-Man's suit black, his darkest demons come to light changing Spider-Man inside as well as out. Spider-Man is in for the fight of his life against a lethal mix of villains - the deadly Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), Venom (Topher Grace), and the New Goblin (James Franco) - as well as the enemy within himself.

As the first line of the SPIDER-MAN description above said, he's a very average Peter Parker :P

Cheap trilogy though, worth buying if you're a superhero movie fan even if it's not part of the MCU (thank goodness)

3 disc set. Damn. I was hoping this would be a super cheap way to get a copy of the editor's cut of Spidey 3 physically. Still haven't found a copy, refuse to buy all five of the non-MCU movies…again…for like the 10th time, just for the editor's cut.

Luckily Far From Home is out soon so you'll soon forget the rest. ;)

      • Forget about FFH more like.

It's so weird seeing Gyllenhall in the role though. Not just because he was poised to take over for Maguire at one point (imagine if he did, and then when Spidey 4 was meant to happen, Jake didn't walk out with Raimi as Maguire did, we actually got Spidey 4, and the original series of Spidey movies could potentially still be going today), but because Bruce Campbell was meant to be playing Mysterio in Spidey 4 (albeit supposedly briefly) but all but one Spidey movie since Spider-Man 3 has used all the villains that were supposedly gonna be in Spidey 4.

Amazing had The Lizard which may or may not have been in Spider-Man 4, but he was definitely setup through Spidey 2 and 3.
Homecoming had the Vulture who was almost certainly the big bad of SM4, there's concept art and all.
Far From Home has Mysterio, who was also going to make an appearance in Spidey 4.

Even Amazing 2 which had new villains still retread the Goblin.

I will say I did enjoy the Shocker though. Vulture was great don't get me wrong, I actually don't mind Homecoming, but like, I'd prefer to see Tugboat Maguire facing off against the bald old guy.

Jesus (profanity) I didn't intend to type that much.

      • Actually, disregard my comment, this covers it. Thought of you when I saw it TBH. Though, also, no one I know IRL gives a (profanity) about Iron Lad Jr. either.
