Actually I worked out once you sign up from that link, it tells you the get $100 after two cycles. I was worried I was signing up to nothing lol

Sounds like you need to pay for 3 cycles / months to get the $100 gift card.
You only get the gift card when you meet the condition (2 months). And your membership automatically renews for 30 days (the third month).
MealPal has always been dodgy with its promotion.
You can setup a hold that starts that the end of the current plan month at any time. So there's no need to go for the third month.
