    • Rubbish specs until you realise it's 240hz. Not sure why you need that, but still. Fast!

      • 1 ms also good but not sure who would buy 1080p these days.

        • it’s 25” so 1080p is about right for that size screen and aspect ratio.

love my 28” 4 k screen, but then i don’t use it for gaming.

      • I run a Acer Predator 240hz G sync panel. You feel the jump.

You can usually find these on eBay and Gumtree cheap. I don't know why people seem to ditch these.

      • Rubbish specs until you realise it's 240hz. Not sure why you need that

Pretty much the only reason to buy it is PvP gaming, if you only play single player it's not the right monitor.

Eww would rather a 27" 1440p 144hz than this monstrosity

  • I have this monitor purely as a gaming monitor and its amazing. Going from 60hz to 240hz is ridiculous. Can't compare to 144hz as I've never owned one, but if you're a gamer and want as high fps as possible, I can't recommend this enough.

  • This is 6-bit+FRC… the 8-bit updates with 90% DCI-P3 colour gamut and improved response time (3 ms GtG, 0.4-0.6 ms with overdrive) are finally launching (hence this discount).

240Hz IPS models are also on their way, as are 1440p 240Hz models for VA, TN and IPS (though I'd only recommend TN and possibly IPS for this purpose, pending a professionally review of the latter):

  • A little off topic but I have a GTX 1060 6gb would I even be able to make use of 240hz?

I've done a little research & it seems like a 24inch 1080p 144hz 1ms is the monitor specs that would be best suited for my graphics card. If anyone has any advice that would be appreciated I'm definitely new to all of this.

    • Depends on what games you are playing competitively with that kind of monitor. Overwatch, CS:GO, DotA, LoL? Sure, but you might find yourself turning some settings down.

You'll find that older and sometimes non-Intel CPUs wmay hinder your ability to pump out even higher frame rates at times as well (and I'm not sure any system can support Apex at 240 fps yet, but that's likely an optimisation issue), so check benchmarks for the games you play competitively, and also turn on or install and FPS counter and uncap frame rates (or cap them at 240) to see how your existing hardware performs, and if there are significant frame dips.

Generally you'll want to stay above 180 fps and averaging around 220-230 for it to be worth your while. That being said, see my earlier comment about upcoming panel updates, as they won't be much more expensive than this.

  • Or you can get the G-sync version for just over 1000 bucks… hahaha

    • Even more of a joke now since this monitor works great under the new gsync compatibility update lol
