You are of course entitled to your opinion, but can I just clarify what microwave you are referring to?

The steriliser in this pack is an electric steam steriliser. There are microwave sterilisers available, but this IS NOT a microwave steriliser.

The individual parts of this pack sell for a combined total of over $200…..

          An estimated fact?

Is that like an imagined fact, or an implied fact?

The bottle and food warmer is electric. You plug it in.

Unlike a microwave, it will not overheat or superheat the food or bottle - therefore its arguably safer for you and baby.

You put water and the bottle inside it and set the temperature you want, then wait to for it to heat up

Tommee Tippee’s Closer to Nature Electric Bottle and Food Warmer heats bottles and baby food quickly and safely in about 4 minutes. The warmer heats everything from breast milk to baby food while helping to preserve the nutrients that are vital to your baby's healthy development. Just place the bottle or jar in the warmer and adjust the easy to use temperature dial.

          Easy to use
Step 1 - Place the bottle or food jar in the warmer and add water.
Step 2 - Use the control dial to adjust the temperature in accordance with the instructions.
Step 3 – Once warm, remove the bottle and test temperature prior to offering to baby.

The warmer by itself is $55.99 at Amazon.com.au

For a guy that have never posted a deal, you have lots to say about others. No one person's opinion is fact.

We got this pack around a year ago before ToysRUs went out of business.

We used the warmer when reheating breastmilk and it was generally pretty good. We use the thermal back to take a to-go bottle when we're heading on a road trip.

The steriliser we use it daily — the only issue is that it stopped working for us after around 9 months or so (just wouldn't turn on).

They replaced it relatively quickly (took about a week or so) but their customer service in the UK was a bit annoying to deal with.

They wanted videos of it not turning on, then photos, then close up photos, then they said there was scale on it and to clean it and take more photos (there was none, we have really hard water so have only used demineralised water in it!) Then they said they'd replace it and to take more photos with a note with the date it in, then to cut the power cord off and take another photo with the note with the date!

After a bunch of back and forth sending photos and videos, they then wanted me to cut the cord closer to the machine instead of the plug and take more photos. After sending them about 20 photos and a videos they finally said yes they'd replace it and have one shipped to us!

It's a decent price for the package.

Wow, i probably would have given up. Maybe that's their plan

    • I've had an issue with a couple of Tommy Tippee items, one of which was my own fault and they've been excellent with sending replacements both times.

Cheaper by far on eBay via baby bunting $106.25 using PAPPY

  • Anyone know if these bottles work with the spectra pump?

    • +1

no they dont, the spectra bottle is narrower

  • +2

Bought one. "PAPPY" also brings down Medela Swing Maxi Electric Double Breastpump to $237.15

  • This is a great price for the stuff you get, essential for any parent. Makes steaming bottles so much easier

    • -1

Essential for any parent? If breastfeeding is going well I wouldn't say so.

      • +3

Breastfeeding is going well for us but we still have most of this stuff in various brands. Worth introducing a bottle (we did, of expressed milk daily) if you plan to use a babysitter in the first 6 months.

      • My wife still breastfeeds my little 18m. It’s going well, but as a dad whom also wants to connect to my baby since he was little I also shared in feeding duties. So we pumped and bottle feed. There are multiple advantages to using bottle feeding, even if you don’t use formula.

But maybe Foxes leave their little ones to fend for themselves? (Jks)

Paid $99 at baby bunting during their last generic store wide sale 6 months ago, in case anyone misses out on this one.

those Tommee Tippee bottles are really crap. leaks and dont form a good seal on your bubs mouth. get Pigeon bottles if you're shopping for bottles.

    • +1

+1 for pigeon bottles. Also one of the least rejected by babies:::

    • Completely agree with this. We bought this pack and ended up giving the bottles away for free on Facebook marketplace. Pigeon ones are so much better. But the rest of the stuff is decent, still using the steriliser just with pigeon bottles

  • Does the steriliser and warmer work with light bottles? Just bought a heap of Philips avent and some Nuks

    • Other bottles *

    • Yep as long as they fit

  • We were strongly advised to avoid the warmers. We just put the bottle in a microwave for 30 seconds and use a thermapen for temperature accuracy down to +-.1 degrees.

Philips Avent bottles are… Ok.. they leak on some of them, bought 12 and had to throw 2 away.

Best investment so far is the nuk dummies and Philips Avent microwave steriliser.

I think the biggest scam with babies which we avoided are basinettes. At the mother's group they all bought one for the prams and not even 3 months in the babies have all grown out of them. $300-$499 wasted.
Instead you can just get a head cushion for $25 which supports the baby and is Universal.

I have this set. The steriliser really sucked, the heat plate started corroding after a month of daily use, even with proper care. They won’t replace it for me under warranty, saying it’s from usage. I have a second hand Avent steriliser that’s years old that I keep at my parents place and it’s still going strong. Just want to share my experience.

  • I visited BB today and asked about this product from staff member. She did mention that when it comes to bottles each baby has his/her preference so it's a hit and a miss. But at half price it's a really good deal for steam steriliser/ warmer and insulated carry bag alone even if you end up using different bottles.

  • Bought one. Thanks op.

  • Bought to use for our second. Had this for our first and worked well. The bottle warmers while they do their job are slow. Not a problem during the day but when you've got a baby up for a night feed crying and your waiting for a few minutes for it to warm it can feel like a lifetime!
