Kogan Mobile MMS Sending Issues

Hi All,

Could any of you knowledgeable types please let me know if you have trouble at all sending MMS files with Kogan Mobile? I'm in Brisbane, I use a Lumia 950 phone, and I have the Kogan 3gb/month data 1 year all calls & texts plan. I can receive them fine from people, but not send them. It works extremely rarely, but realistically, almost never. I'm just trying to send tiny .gif files (just .gif files, nothing else atm) to my Boss (basically doing a bit of brown-nosing) and I've tried everything from sending tiny files as an experiment (say a .gif of 50kb) to going into sim settings and changing API settings and using generic Vodafone settings for it. Nothing seems to work reliably. Do Kogan allow .gifs to be sent? Do they send as an MMS file if so?

    do you have mobile data turned on when sending?

      Oh.. Er, I don't normally cos the phone's connected to the home wifi router. Man, what a No0B I am. Does it not work without data being turned on?

        I don't believe it will ever work without mobile data. I've been caught up in the same issue as you, and the solution was just to keep my data on - never had an issue after that.

          yeah, my texts (w/ pics) don't send without using data.

          but that's with Belong.

          I'm guessing it's data.

          have you tried it?
