"From Captain Locky MacLean: THE BOB BARKER IS BACK IN THE WATER AND CATCHING THE HIGH TIDE ON JUNE 13TH TO PASS THE BAR IN YAMBA RIVER. SHE WILL BE IN SYDNEY AUSTRALIA JUNE 17, 18TH, 19TH until the morning of the 20th at CIRCULAR QUAY near Sydney Opera House. Stay tuned for details on how to tour the Bob Barker when she docks in Sydney."

Disclaimer: the ship looks totally different to how it's been depicted for the last couple of years in Sea Shepherd and Whale Wars due to the new paint job. Which is due to them "winning" the war against whaling in the southern ocean.

        nothing wrong with what these guys do (greenpeace on the whole are at least tring to make a difference, whilst the people we elect sit on their thumbs because they dont have the guts to do the right thing), but this isnt a 'bargain'…. its just advertising an event. so its a neg from me- not an ozbargain.

          Well I'm sure I have seen similar deals on here where you can tour X for free. As for the advertising point… lots of stuff on here is advertising. Ever heard of reps posting deals? I am not affiliated with these guys so there is 0% benefit for me for "advertising" their appearance in Sydney.

          As for the normal price it is compared with, tulkn, these guys only rarely open their ships to the public. So if you think that this isn't a temporal thing just like a "sale" is, I guess you must be sailing through Antarctica onboard the ship because that is the only way you'd be able to see it for the rest of the time.

          Maybe it's just because I am a fan that changes my perspective. If I came onto ozbargain to find product X is reduced by $5 and Y is holding a free event where I have an opportunity to tour something I like for free (which is not usually available), I would be happy that it was posted.
