Grab a cheaper coffee with the 7-Eleven ATM receipt.
$2.50 charge but go wild if you're with Macquarie, ING, or any other rebating banks

I’ve tried cancelling my withdraw request last time when there was a Kit Kat promo and had no issues with the machine printing off and using the voucher at the counter. $2.50 ATM fee is a bit of a rip when you only save $1 on a coffee IMO…
I recall you needed to have less than $2.50 in your account for it to print anything without the fee?
Someone mentioned entering incorrect pin in another thread, not sure if it still works.
I thought 7/11 Coffees were only $1 anyway?
Only for the regular coffee, this one is the large which is normally $2 but you don't get twice as much.
There is a one-use voucher in the Fuel Lock app that scans you a large coffee for $1 too.
Back when they had the bankwest ATM's You could just check your balance and print it out and it still gave you the voucher. Not sure about the new one, if it charges you to check the balance.
I just did a balance check to get that one, but still a $2.50 charge
You've got to spend money to make money?
yeah.. negative gearing
@tonsta: high yield investment coffee
aren't they going cashless

Can the voucher be used for hot chocolate instead of coffee?
Yes you can, but only if the store has one of those chocolate shakers designed to be shaken on top of your froth. If they have one, just sprinkle a bit of that chocolate and hot milk and away you go!
It tastes nothing like the actual hot chocolate cup, the sprinkle is of lower quality. But no you cant use that voucher for the hot chocolate.
That’s right you can’t use it for an actual hot chocolate. I was just being resourceful and creative at those stores with a shaker. I’m surprised that you say it’s of low quality as I’ve tasted it and tasted quite reasonable. I would have thought it’s Cadbury Drinking Chocolate or maybe it’s homebrand who knows as there is no packaging. In Coles Express, at some of their stores they have Vittoria Drinking Chocolate still in its packaging.
@shaveadollar: Just unscrew the lid and pour half the shaker in. Makes for a passable Mocha.
Downvote if off topic but wouldn't it make sense to pay $2 and get a large coffee apart from using ATM?
I have an ING everyday account which gives the $2.50 fee back.
Then I need to figure out how to spend $20! :)
Splurge acc? 20x $1 large coffees
They reimburse balance checks too I'm pretty sure :)
Just check your account balance.
Just buy the $1 coffee, the larger sizes don't give you more anyway apparently :)
7-11 $3 vs $3 vs $1 coffee
$3 vs $2 vs $1 ?
That doesn’t take into account how many shots in a cup.
Will look in the bin for receipts lol thanks OP.
Haha this reminded me of the good old days at Coles Express. Whack in the ING card, tank the fee but get the free coffee/hot chocolate voucher.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but in MY 7 eleven app, the $2 large coffee is currently $1 anyway until 1/7/19.
Might save some people the hassle. I'm pretty sure it expired at the end of May but it just got extended.
As others have said, better value in the $1 small coffee but for anyone that wants the extra milk, $1 large is available anyway. 👍
The app only works once I think
Ya bank should shout ya a free copy for ripping ya $2.50 to withdraw some cash
He already has a copy of the receipt though, as posted…
If it is the bankwest ATM, just use a bankwest card to avoid 2.5 surcharge and enjoy as many free coffee as possible?
I'll report if incorrect tomorrow, this morning I used my ING card as above like I've been doing for a bit and obtained my $1 coffee voucher.
This afternoon I wanted another coffee (go figure!) and it gave me a $1 voucher for a kit oat instead.
When I checked with the cashier she advised me that the atm offers change monthly and may have changed today.
I'm not so sure as this was the same store but I'll find out tomorrow when I next do my run :-)
wasn't it the case that you could cancel the ATM transaction before completing the transaction (and incurring the fee) and still get the receipt with voucher?
or was that with the old BankWest ATMS?
