Best beard trimmer under $50

Hi!
After destroying 2x trimmers in under 6monyhs each time I thought I'd use this community to see if anyone has found a decent product!Wahl have a couple of great rechargable stainless steel versions that are great but they cost close to $200!
I'm hoping someone has purchased an import and had great luck so I don't need to be the guinee pig lol

    how do you destroy beard trimmers? and how often do you use them?

    I bought some cheap phillips trimmers on sale for something like $20 maybe 5 years ago and it still works, but only gets sporadic use.
    even when i do beard up, trims are weekly at most, which keeps them gentle. harsher treatment comes when im completely removing a few weeks of growth and prepping a shave.

    so 6 months of beard trimmer usage seems like it'd be used a small handful of times which should be fine as long as you dont let it clog up with offcuts. im curious how theyd be breaking so easy
    or are you just dropping the trimmers in the toilet or something?
