Ok can I ask how you would mesh this together? Would it be you have to buy two and if so wouldn’t google wifi work best?
You mesh these together with either another unit of the same model or, I believe, their RT2600ac. Whether or not Google Wi-Fi would be better would depend on what you're after.
What I can say for the OS the Synology units run is that they make things like parental controls very easy to manage.
Google is great with those sort of things too.
In the end the Orbi is widely regarded for the most important feature, the range.
SO if it need another unit that go to $177*2, i would buy netgear or google with similar price
