I have two of these, can confirm that it's actually a very good selfie stick, however he fully extended length is like only 75cm

The Xiaomi Selfie stick will fit smartphones between 56 to 89mm width which includes the Samsung S8 / S8+, iPhone 8 / 8 Plus and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6. I tested it out for the day with my OnePlus 5 which at 5.5 inches had plenty of room to spare.
I've used pixel 2 and Oneplus 6 with no issues. But with a case on the Oneplus it's quite snug and almost at the limit of how wide the "claws" open.
Works well, but I find it doesn't extend far enough if you are trying to fit two heads and something in the background for a selfie.
Yes I have one of these too and the same concern that it doesn't extend far enough.

But this is the 3.5mm version, no Bluetooth remote. But if your phone supports it, the 3.5mm version is actually just as good. Less messing around with Bluetooth pairing

How tight are the gripping claws?
On a lot of the cheaper phone holders, I find the grip of the claws too excessive.

Just got my order today. Love the rubbery feet of the tripod as it adds some steadiness. Fully extended length of the selfie stick is probably 60-70cm (I'm bad at estimating)
Comes with a detachable remote that can also be attached and pairs easily to my phones. Phone claw grips my Pixel 2 XL with a bit of effort. Definitely made for smaller phones.

I have one of these and it's great. Nice and compact however doesn't extend as far as others but it's sufficient for normal selfies.
Bluetooth shutter is great too if you want long exposure night shots from your phone.
