Yeah I tend to agree, as no one has seemed to have cracked the whole magnetic cable somehow. They tend to crap out rather quickly, or just won't work well at all. Just grab some good braided cables from Blitzwolf or whatever and call it a day I reckon.
Isn't the whole point of the Oculus Quest that there are no wires??
I've got a MacBook Pro and I've been searching for a USB C magnetic cable. If it were possible to do properly someone would have done it.

I think for the quest, when you need extra long sessions for a movie or something it could be handy
I've been using this for half a year for my XPS 13 primarily and no issues so far. Also works for my phone.
and none of them are fastcharge compatible yet
Having tried the magnetic detachable cables before, I'd recommend against them. For some reason, they'd just never work all that well for me. Always had issues with them and they seem to not be too durable. Regular Type-C cables would be fine.
