Prepaid Data Sim Card - UK/Europe

Hey Guys,

I'm travelling to UK and Europe and I was wondering which is the best simcard to get in London which will cover both UK and Europe - I only need it for Data.

p.s countries i'm visiting - London, Berlin, Prague, Zurich, Florence, Venice and Paris :)

    I have used a British "3" SIM. Be mindful that the 4G it claims to support only works in the UK. I did not have 4G coverage anywhere else.

      I just used Three in April and their 4G worked in most places I went, including Zurich, Florence and Venice.

      Up to 15gb was useable everywhere in Europe so don’t get sucked into buying much over that if you aren’t going to use the difference in the UK.

      Edit: I just checked some screenshots on my phone and it was 4G the whole time I was in Italy, but 3G in Belgium (which won’t affect you). I had no screenshots from Zurich.

        I was in the Netherlands, France and Belgium last October, and got no 4G…. May be country specific?

    You can get the sim posted to the hotel you are staying at, activate when you reach and select a goodybag you believe will work for you.

    I believe all the cities you are visiting are within their EU roaming countries, so data will come out of your monthly allowance.

      Giffgaff also send them to Australia too

      (if you want a Five pound referral credit for Giffgaff, send me a PM).

      I used to use EE and Giffgaff, and EE had better coverage in Scotland than Giffgaff's O2 coverage, however Giffgaff much easier to recharge with Australian credit card. EE needed a UK issued credit card or I had to buy vouchers, got annoying. Been using Giffgaff exclusively since.

        does the speed slow down after your allowance or are you charged?

        is it linked to your credit card or is it a one time payment?

      Using it now. Has been great and have used it faultlessly through the USA,UK,France,Switzerland,Italy and now in Hong Kong

    Have a look at Flexiroam on Call Cloud on this Ozbargain, I used it and it was incredible value
