If I found a charger could I rent it until the next election?

Although… Depending on who gets in I might feel like killing myself so this could come in very handy… Thanks op!

  • I don't have the email, but does this only save you the $1 unlocking fee? The cost is usually in the usage time from memory.

    • Ah, I didn't realise how the fees worked

    • Yes, effectively saves $1 per ride.

      • Each to their own, but the one and only time I used this, it cost me $7 for 20 minutes. Bit pricey for my liking.

  • Is it in Melbourne?

How is it that privately if I ride my electric scooter (with safety helmet) I get the police warning me with fines close to $1000, yet Lime are allowed to rent these to electric scooters.
electric scooter laws: NSW. New South Wales road rules currently stipulate that “powered foot scooters…cannot be registered and can only be used on private land [6].” As such, it is illegal to ride an electric scooter anywhere in New South Wales, other than on private property.Apr 1, 2019
I'm all for electric, but the laws should be consistent for all people.
Goes to show how feeble some of us can be.
Clearly, Lime has managed to bribe the correct politician/official to get around these laws.

Is there any lime electric scooters in NSW? I only saw lime bicycles around sydney

      • Lime only operate bikes in Sydney. No companies in NSW have the permits to operate scooters yet.

    • Lime we're kicked out of Adelaide for supposedly breaking regulations … (or just outbid on bribes).
