Which eBay Seller Should I Purchase My Monitor from?

Hi friends, I'm planning on buying the Acer XB271HU IPS monitor from eBay however I'm not sure from which specific retailer as there are a few of them who all offer around pretty much the same price.

I ask because I've heard how IPS monitors suffer from panel issues such as backlight bleeding and IPS glow, so I wanted to buy this monitor from a seller with good customer service and return policies in the event I needed to return the monitor due to bad levels of blb.

I'm not too familiar with the eBay sellers, so between Futu Online, FTC Computers, Wireless1, Shallothead, PLE Computers, JW Computers, Revcom and DeviceDeals, who would you recommend me to buy from?

Highest feedback rating, au stock, pay with PayPal, cheapest and check to see if any of those stores have a brick & mortar store.

Everyone on ozbargain just buys the cheapest. Rarely does it matter which shop it comes from. As long as it's au stock and excluding only a few stores in some certain cases.

Then maybe look at buying from a physical store, yes it'll cost you most, but they'll handle all your warranty issues for the 12 months etc.

Plus if they're near you, pick it up and play with it instead of having to refresh the tracking page for 3 days in agony waiting for your new toy like a kid on Christmas.

      • Haha I don't mind too much about waiting a few days for it to arrive as long as it doesn't get ridiculously delayed.

I know a lot of monitor buyers in the US and EU can pick up one and then use it for a few days then return it if they're not satisfied, but I don't know if we can do the same here in Aus because of how terrible the local retailers are when it comes to return policies and buyer rights. So yeah I'm kinda conflicted, I'd prefer buying from a physical store too tbh.

    • I initially thought about buying it from a physical local store however my friend warned me that they usually have bad return policies when it comes to blb/IPS glow issues as well as dead pixels.

He said my chances of being able to return a monitor was much higher thru buying off of eBay thru Paypal.

That being said, I originally wanted to buy the XB271HU from Scorptec in Auburn but I wasn't confident enough on how they'd deal with monitor returns. I know for a fact though that stores like Mwave have terrible customer service which is why I didn't purchase from them even though they're in my area and are one of the biggest Aus retailers.

Choose whichever seller has a bricks and mortar store closest to you.
