how does it compare to the waterpik combo

  • There's a $30 Philips Cashback but unsure if whether this qualifies.

The Promotion commences at 09.00am AEST on 05 April 2019 and ends 11:59pm AEST on 12 May 2019 (“Promotional Period”). All Claim Forms must be submitted by 5.00pm AEST on 09 June 2019.

Maybe it means purchases made by 12 May 2019 but submitted by 9 June?

      So no cashback mate.

      • That's just my interpretation. I'm not entirely sure if that's what it means. Maybe you can still order and submit claims by June 9?

I bought one of these a couple of years ago and it’s been great! It died a couple of weeks ago and I was sad :-(

I started pricing a replacement and it ranged from 130-170 on average so this is a good price.

It consists of three parts (stick with me) - handle, floss attachment and charger. I bought a genuine replacement handle on eBay for $27 and 2 floss attachments for $15

As I was able to reuse the charger Total cost $42

I’ve seen the charger around for 25 on eBay uk. So maybe $70 will some self assembly required….

Just an FYI i bought an electric toothbrush years ago and it died on me, so I called the customer care number and they offered ambassador pricing for a new one (a newer model). Maybe give them a call and ask if there is anyway to fix it and since it's out of warranty they will more than likely give you the pricing.

How much better are these compared to manual dental flossing?

    • I think the dental floss might still be better cos it can get underneath the gum lines
and also it cleans the in between tooth surface when you are flossing/scraping as well

Whereas with the water pik, it cannot scrape the stuff in between on the teeth
and cannot go under the gum line as easily

  • Why is this called an air floss when it uses water? Bit strange no?

I have a panasonic battery powered water flosser. How would this compare?

    • It combines water and air into the discharge. Supposedly makes for a better floss with a wider spread compared to a standard water jet flosser which has a far narrower spread.

  • Is this the one you can use for "other" purposes?

  • Great thanks, been looking to get one of these.
