  • how much would it cost to install these on ground floor room?

    • A ballpark back-to-back price of $500 is often mentioned.

    • Depends on several factors
      But allow $500-$700 for install

what if it is not back to back but there is an existing split type unit already in place?

    • +1

I paid $890 for back-to-back installation of 2 split systems. I'm in Sydney.

  • Funny that the smaller G09 is more expensive

  • Great deal - I'm in the same boat, looking for 5-6kW one for next year, however ebay search is really really bad.

A search for Fujitsu on binglee items - doesnt even bring this item up

Is my brian not working ???

  • How are Fujitsu and are they good with honouring warranty?

    • Bugger. Updated to a NSW metro deal only….

  • Has anyone arranged for aircon installation with Bing Lee before? If their guys install it, does that mean postage is "waived" as part of the installation? The closest store with stock is around 25km from us and I was hoping they will bundle deliver and install together. thanks!

    • Most likely agreed contractors so probably not because it's a different entity

      • figured that was the case. damn it. thanks for your response!

  • I get the below error after applying the code
"This code can't be applied to your order"

  • Does anybody have a rule of thumb for sizing of a unit against the size of the room?

    • +1

4kw unit suits room size from 25m² to 34m²
      under standard conditions

Seal air leaks and insulate first.

    • https://airconditioningexpert.com.au/right-size-air-conditio… . HANDS DOWN THE BEST A/C installer website I have come across for explaining things to Non Trade consumers/customers. Written in no nonsense non technical everyday speak. It’s my go to you speaking to our clients.

Rule of thumb is area of room, x140 for std 2.4M ceilings in most of Aust. We use that rationale in Vic, works a treat. (Calc gives the number of watts for cooling).

Only thing I disagree with slightly is that we rate Fujitsu units as equally below Daikins, where as this installer doesn’t. However he is in QLD and we Vic so perhaps climate has a bearing.

Seriously the website contains excellent advice. Read it. Written in plain English with the consumer in mind.
