Victoria University Vs Box Hill Institute

Hi so i am going to be entering into a Cybersecurity class and im not sure were to do it. So the differences are

VU needs you 4 days a week
Box Hill needs you two days a week
Not sure which is better for finding work after the certificate is complete but this is what VU said "As part of our offering we help and encourage students to make contacts in the industry, we endeavour to have work placement or simulated work place assignments based on our industry partners feedback and recommendations. " and this is what box hill said "We do have an internal jobs board that employers post on and all students have access to. You can find potential employers details on here which can assist with employment after graduation and potentially internships if that is what you were interested in, we also use simulations during the course."

so my question is whats better for finding work after the course is complete, Victoria University Vs Box Hill Institute

University every time. If I was reviewing CVs within Engineering industry (cyber security is a key sub-discipline for BMCS nowadays), with absolutely no other context or background info, Uni will always get picked over Institute education.

      VU was formerly Footscray Institute.

I'm not sure what they've done to "upgrade" their status and/or the course but most Victorian employers are well aware that VU was essentially TAFE.

      • 'Most Victorian employers'? I don't think most of them have any idea. Cannot agree with @Hybroid comment any more.

    • I needed that list. Thanks

  • i dont know if those mental hospitals offer classes, but i can enquire on behalf of the ozbargain community

Tbh I’d just go to whichever is closer to home/easier to get to.
