Expenses App with Split Categories

Hey there

I’m trying to look for an app for tracking our families expenses.

Ideally we’d like:

1) expenses can be split across multiple categories (ie. supermarket receipts can be split between groceries/toiletries/babies).

2) For the data to be cloud based so it can be accessed across multiple devices.

So far I’ve tried Pocketbook, and from what I can tell, YNAB doesn’t offer split categories either.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try Pocketsmith. This feature may be what you are looking for: split transactions

I use Goodbudget. Free version syncs across three devices I think (plus web browser). Definitely does split transactions, an example is if my son lost his PE uniform and had to buy another, it could be split across his clothing allowance, spend allowance, and save allowance. Sigh

Moneydance. It is not inherently 'cloud' based but can sync via dropbox.
