Hi guys,
What should I do with a fake dyson hair dryer sold by a Australian local eBay seller?
I got this hair dryer from eBay seller aus-depot last October and it went faulty last week. So I reached to dyson Australia and sent it to them to repair/replace it.
However, they called me today saying it's a fake dyson hair dryer, and they are going to confiscate it and issue a confirmation of counterfeit for me to as a source of proof to claim my money back from the seller (any chance at all?)
I was stunned as I always think Aussie local sellers are trust worthy as we got a well-developed law system to prevent this kind of issue.
Can you please kindly advise whom or which government entity should I reach to so I can potentially claim back some of my loss?
Very much appreciated!

I think I paid on eBay gift card, so it shows $0 on the paypal receipt.

I can see here that the item was purchased last year and it's no longer covered by our money back guarantee program.

I totally understand how you feel right now, xxxxxx but what I mean here is that for the money back guarantee program we only have 3 days for you to be covered and for PayPal it's 180 days.

I can see here that this transaction is more than 180 days which is no longer covered as well by PayPal.

The best thing I can do now is that for this to get resolve, I will contact the seller for you for them to have this settled.

Holy moly!
I swear they still got a whole bunch of items on sale yesterday (10 May) before i talked to eBay. And the fake dyson hair dryer was listed for $399 delivered.
This really workssssssssss! All the stuff they were selling got delisted!
I am happier seeing it's being closed than getting my money back!
