Anyone have any opinions on the Orient Bambino (any versions really, but more focused on Version 5)?

It seems like a nice lead into the world of watches, and it is winding too. But I'm not too strong on the fashion, so surely someone would have some opinions on watches!
They're great value and very well made for the price point. Size is definitely not too big. The domed crystal is really nice in the flesh.
IMO the leather strap variants look far better than bracelet. Should be able to get good price on it off Singapore/HK based watch shops on ebay/online.
I have one of the 2nd gen version 1, it is 4 years old now and going strong. 40.5mm is not in the big range, it's entirely sensible, on my 7.5" wrist it is a little small. The version you linked is basically the same except for blue hands and the new crown. Looks really nice but go with a leather strap.
Yep, definitely buying a leather strap alongside with it! (if i go through with the purchase) Not a big fan of metal bracelets during casual/work wear.
They are a nice watch. Only negative is the crystal scratches really easily and whilst the leather band does look better, the one it comes with is really cheap and nasty with a coating that flakes off over time. This is the best one IMO: https://www.amazon.ca/Orient-Bambino-Automatic-Numeral-ER240…
Not a fan of metal bands, but the face on the one you linked is a good one. Try and find a leather band variant. Looks way classier.

I think that's a great first choice - domed dial, clean face, hand winding function. Can be dressed up or down. The size is probably a bit on the large side (I prefer the 38-40mm range) but that seems to be the trend these days, and if youre slightly larger built it'll be fine.
