Pilot Era 8k 360 Degree Camera

I currently have a Gear 360 gen 1 and despite it being 4k, since it stretches the 4k around 360 degrees, the video quality is pretty poor. I came across the Pilot Era https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/pilot-era-first-true-all-… and looking at samples it looks pretty awesome. I'm hoping this tech becomes mainstream and affordable soon. Unfortunately hard to justify the asking price even with the hefty launch discount for my family videos.

    LOL indiegogo, id avoid it like the plague to be honest with you

    its not even a product its all just a concept as per one of the first lines on the page
