Recommend a Site for Women's Bras - Custom Sizes etc

Ladies - help please
Shopping for my wife who always complains about ill-fitting bras
Especially with onset of a bit of middle-aged spread/sag - I never said that and will deny it! - she has trouble

Can you recommend a good site to buy an excellent fitted bra?

Been listening to podcast and hearing ads for Third Love bras
They have extensive sizes etc.
Site is US and costs are high - $100 for bra and $25 delivery

Cost is high but tolerable to get something good
But no guarantee of course and expensive returns etc.

If anyone can recommend something similar in AU I would be keen
Thanks

      This

    • Sorry - neglected to add - live regionally so getting a good fitting difficult
Also if they are only selling 'standard' sizes will she get exact fitting anyway?

In my experience, you don't know if a bra fits well until you try it on. Go to a bra shop, get a fitting, and try on lots of bras. If you don't find a good one, go to another shop. Once you do find a good bra, buy in bulk.

Definitely don’t buying one online unless your wife has tried in a store the exact brand and size first. A comfortable bra is well worth it as it’s an everyday item for a woman and really does need to be fitted and people always assume they know their size. Bras n’ things also offer fittings, they are discreet and do a good job to help you choose something that actually fits. Take your wife to an an actual store she’ll appreciate the thought. They will take her measurements and give her options of ones to try. All you need to do is stand near the counter to pay for it at the end.

One thing in life that I will never experience (but would like to) is the relief one feels when removing your bra at the end of a long day.

    • Nothings impossible buddy

    • Try wearing a jock strap all day

    • Hell yeah. I wear very comfortable bras but releasing the girls into the wild to put on my sleepy top is an “oh yeah” moment.

As others have said, I would advise against buying online. A bra needs to be tried on. Brava lingerie are excellent and know their stuff, if you're in Sydney or Melbourne, and they have sizes and know-how that most stores don't. Don't go to Bras and Things, I'm glad nerdycat had a good experience but they overall don't train their staff properly and don't carry a large range of sizes. If you're not in Sydney or Melbourne, use the google and find a specialty bra shop in your area with good reviews and a wide range of sizes. If they stock the brands Curvy Kate or Panache, you're on the right track.

If you guys must buy online, follow this guide for finding her actual bra size (though the "does it really fit" information is really good advice applicable to all situations): A Bra That Fits. I'm going to sound like a shill, but Brava have good online customer service too and are happy to provide fit advice.

Good luck to your wife in her struggles, I know those feels too well

Look up Intimo bras, they've fitting specialists who can visit you or you can visit them. Their bras are good and they've a good range in bigger cup sizes.

Have a look at the Bonds store they have a pretty good range into the larger cup sizes, there is a distinct difference between the bra size and the cup size and they don’t, necessarily, align. If she has had a size fitting, e.g Myers or Bonds then something like “curvy” might be worth looking at.

Going online is the opposite of finding a well fitted bra. Your wife would have to measure herself.

OK - on the weight of sage OzB advice I have decided not to buy online
Probably dodged a bullet - Thank you lifesavers
