Can you confirm whether the price is $76 or $86 as stated on the website?

      • $76 in the shop…get there before they run out.

I am now buying more of the bloody things, to backup my backups

My house is literally filling up with them - and they are all different shapes and sizes so they look as ugly as! LOL

This was happening to me too llama, but the missus put me onto a previously unused key on the keyboard…'Delete'! :o

What a wonderful space saving device! I'm a bit of a hoarder by nature; I was stockpiling crap I didn't really need; so I highlighted a heap of redundant junk and tried out this new key (almost at gunpoint for a chronic hoarder like me)…et voila, more space…free of charge! ;)

I know it is hard to let go of thing when you think of the hard earn money that you have spent on it. I still have two of my dot matrix printers, my 386 cpu and 5.25 floppy disk readers X-(.

  • Check in Melb CBD Officeworks and it shows and scan $86.
@Dman and fishandchips, could you please scan your receipt and share with us?

    Thanks

  • Officeworks has a 5% price beat guarantee, so if there's anywhere near them a store which is only a cent more cheaper, they'd have to discount that price by another 5%.
So I found what they do to prevent this is discounting a stocked item to the same amount as their near-by competitors, regardless of advertised price. Therefore they save the 5%.

Happened to me just yesterday when I walked proudly into my local officeworks with a dicksmith catalogue in my hand thinking they'd beat their price by the 5%. Despite having the item (the 1.5tb WD hard drive) officially for $89 and also on the shelf for $89 (dicksmith: $86!), they pointed to a big stack next to the door with a handwritten sign of $86 - the exact same as dicksmith. So no more 5% off since I didn't find a "cheaper price". :(

  • North Sydeny OfficeWorks here is also selling at $86

  • Clarence St, Sydney OW was doing them for $76 on Saturday but don't know if they still are.

    • They weren't when I went in today at about lunchtime. Big sign saying $86.

  • Went in office works today and asked for the cheaper price, couldn't remember exactly what it was so I said $78.
They accepted that and I paid $78
