I was thinking recently that it'd be nice if bank apps has a little feature that allowed you to select transactions and place a little green tick next to them as you recognise them, or a little red flag if you can't quite remember what it was for.
When your statement comes at the end of the month and you give it a skim, you can see if there are any flags you need to chase up and look into.
But I'm not sure if it's just me who is a bit lackadaisical in checking my transactions, so wondering how often folk on here check theirs. It will likely be skewed data, as a bargain site will probably have people who are more financially savvy, but still interesting.
I wouldn't use the feature as I get push notifications for every transaction that occurs (whether in-store, online or direct debit). You may want to look into a third party app such as Pocketbook (budgeting app) which has API links with all major banks. It's been a few years since I used it but I believe it should have some sort of flagging/categorisation feature to achieve what you want.
If you want this feature in your banking app directly, the best thing to do is tell them (send feedback). If it's a frequently requested feature, they're more likely to develop it.
