Hi guys
first post here

I was looking on ebay for cheap ps3 consoles and literally I searched and nothing but the usual came up then I search like a minute later and found
this website

For some reason the Ps3's are cheaper on their ebay store. I believe they have only just started their ebay store as it only has a feedback score of 2 (both positive though).

another cheap place is this

but the postage is about $45 so you might as well buy the 320gb one

      well it says that it is a us import but they also say that its fully compatible with aus things. Also say its aus dvd region

        It says it is a PAL (AUS/NZ/UK) version but import from Japan/US? If it's PAL wouldn't you import it from UK or some other European country? If it's from Japan it would be NTSC? Contradicting don't you think?

    The fact that they have the White version means it is an import from either Japan (which it states on the website) or some asian countries like HK or Singapore. I bought my white PS3 320GB in HK for a bit more than $300 a few months ago but don't think it comes with World Wide Warranty, which this seller claims to have. I believe Sony never gives out World Wide Warranty to any consoles, even their PSPs.

        Sorry dude, didn't mean to be harsh or tough but thought this ebay seller is a bit dodgy. Not saying that they want to scam you but if they are importing their machines from Asia, then please say so. And don't lie about warranty. At the end of the day, these people earn like $100 per machine they import and you save $100 for not having the warranty. You just gotta know what you are paying for.

    Dodgy… move along…. no way it has a warranty in Aus… grey import… only 2 feedback despite claims of "Australia's Largest Importer Of Gaming Consoles.SOLD OVER HUNDREDS OF CONSOLES"… yeah right.

    And ebay item says location Brisbane, yet description says delivery via fedex and that "The box might be unsealed by airport customs for security purpose"… so would not be surprised if it is not in Brisbane at all and therefore in breach of eBay terms I would have thought. Also says 3 days for fedex, I have had stuff from HK in 3 days, so from Brisbane should be 1, maybe 2 at most.

    Why would anyone even risk it when you can walk into HN and pick up a brand new Aussie PS3 for less than $400. Okay, the HDD is smaller, but really, would it really be worth the potential trouble.

        You can get the 160GB for less than $400… and it is very easy to upgrade the hard drive (I believe, not bothered myself) if you want to. From a store, with full warranty, etc.

    Well kcg I would suggest the consensus is that this is dodgy as, and if you are seriously after a cheap PS3 that you shoudl look elsewhere and be glad that you got some good (or is that bad) feedback from here before (possibly) losing your $$$.

    The seller in question seems doesn't seem to have much feedback so we don't really have a lot to go on. Seems a tad dodgy to be honest and personally I wouldn't want to deal a seller. Besides we all know that we can just go to broden if we wanted a ps3 :P
