21:9 is amazing for watching movies.
possible black bars on the side if the movie is not 21:9
Will still have more viewing area than other monitors though.
Would this be any good for PS4? Need a good monitor for competitive
I dont think so. For console, go with 16:9
Yep, no console supports 21:9 at the moment.
If I had a PS4 I'd buy a 4K freesync monitor.
Note this is Freesync and not G-Sync.
Freesync does work with Nvidia cards though, not sure how well compared to G-sync.
Nvidia 10XX 20XX cards works perfectly with Freesync nowadays.
Buy Freesync instead of paying a stupid premium for G-sync is the smarter choice.
DAME IT! I got the Kogan version and its 16ms respose and no use and its sooo dumb.
I should ave got this.
Is there an overdrive setting you can flick on in the monitor OSD settings? You should be able to improve that with very little overshoot occurring.
Yeah, ODs to 8~ ms.
Nice. Yeah away from that, I'd make sure that your games are either staying below 70 fps or above 90, as that range is where a lot of dark trails occur on VA panels.
Oh man, never buy kogan unless you actually want cheap crap.
Oh man I'm NEVER buying from them again. They Charged me twice and had to take it up with the BANK to get my cash back 5 days later.
NOOOOO customer support at all.
I'd be more salty for missing out on the $500 Aftershock monitor personally
*And by that I mean I am super salty I didn't buy that

Is this quantum dot one not better?
In many ways yes, but keep in mind these are both 2017 models, and there were apparently some 'dark smearing' issues that are typical of VA panels.
Is it good for watching movies?
