Google Home Mini to TV

Hi All

Just seeking assistance and was wondering if its possible to connect google home mini to TV without chromecast to cast videos from Mobile / Laptop.

May be I could buy a HDMI to Micro USB and connect it ( HDMI ) to TV .. Would this work assuming mini will be powered via HDMI from TV and Micro USB connected into Google Mini ?

Any other way i could connect Mini to TV to cast videos?

All suggestions and ideas are appreciated.

    Home Mini does not have video encode/decode capability and will not work at all the way you want.

    Vodafone tv box has Chromecast built-in.
