Which is the correct expiry date?

Code still works with the current promo on meal kits to 20% works out to $15.96(each) + $29.60 of with code

    • +1

Struggling to figure out what the heck you wrote

      • Sorry they have a promo with 1 meal kit is 5% of 2 meal kits is 10% 3 meal kits 15% and 4 meal kits is 20% of which ads to the cart without need for a code 5 meal kits and combined with the 8for50 promo code will bring it down to $50.20 while doing the $79.60 min spend

        • But is 4x meal kits worth it more than 8 prepared meals? I guess its based on user experience as I haven't tried the meal kits yet

          • +2

@Mozzlah: That's still up for debate I haven't tried there kits yet but at this price I thought I would give them a try (heard good things) Have had there premade meals to many times now so not as interesting anymore and quality has been average

            • @OzSaver1: Meal kits are bigger portions and nicer. The chicken stir fry and chicken with super greens are very meh, the lamb salad, Thai curry and fajitas are great though. I'll be ordering 5x meal kits in a few days.

Better way to use this is to get Autumn Faves Pack - 6 Meals, 3 other 9.95 meals and a Tangy Salsa Chipz. Ends up being $51.74, 9 meals at $5.74 each and a pack of chips.

Personally i really like the Autumn Faves Pack, that Yellow Coconut Curry with Pork, delicious. :P

Good call! The Mexi Beans & Quinoa Brown Rice is delicious!

    • +2

I went Autumn pack, 2 other 9.95 and 1 large meal for $52.25

  • Tried this for the first time from the other recent deal and I would not recommend them. Quality of the food is terrible in my opinion. Compared to something like hello fresh this is like the quality of frozen supermarket meals. Meal kits included.

    • That's true, but one requires you to prepared and cook, takes a lot longer than 2 mins in the micro.
But than frozen meals. so really depends on time and effort someone wants to spend.

      • Yeah but even the meal kits, I understand it's all time and effort but I guess my expectations were way off!

For me, these are better than supermarket frozen meals, but certainly not as good as any fresh made meal (HelloFresh or just regular cooking). The most equivalent thing to these would probably be airline meals.

    • +4

Eh, as someone using them for weight loss they are very convenient and cheaper than lite n easy and hello fresh because of the constant discounts. I have a few meals I really like and tend to rotate them a bit. They may seem average compared to hello fresh but they are definitely much better than frozen supermarket meals. Lost 9kg so far so that's a plus. Definitely can't stay on them forever though and will get back to cooking my own meals soon.

Who else can offer sub $6 pre prep non supermarket frozen meals?

    • Considering the weight and quality of this food, I Wouldn't wanna go over 6$ anymore, Other places offer 400-450g meals better quality most times for prices of 10-13$ a lot of youfoodz meals are under 200-300g

  • I made the Chicken stir fry last night. Didn't end up eating the rice, after taking it out of the microwave it turned brown 😳

    • MY one also turned brown, dont understand the reason for it

      • Me either. I might email them.

    • Juices from the beans??

      • It's in a sealed container. Very strange.

    • My one also turned brown.
I think it's because it's basmati and the microwave almost 'burnt' it?

    • +1

Mine too! Emailed them and they sent me back a code for $19.90 with the next order

    • eeek, was gonna cook mine tomorrow. Why did it turn brown??

      • No idea, it wasn't burnt.

        • I made it yesterday, the rice turned a bit brownish but not all brown. I microwaved it for 1.5mins

    • Same, our rice looked and smelt off. Made our own rice.

  • Can we all please email the company to drop the delivery charges To WA, i suspect they will do much better without that extra cost the customers in the east don’t have to pay, in recent weeks they now deliver daily, so it must have more stock here actively need shifting.

Meals are tiny. I'm a skinny dude (18.5bmi) and found I'd need 2 minimum to be satisfied for dinner.

There's also no way these are worth $9.95 each. Heavily discounted prices of ~$5 each seems about right.

If anything is wrong with the meals though, live chat customer service is excellent. Just state what's wrong and they'll offer a voucher, which you can reject to get a refund instead.

    Don't get the beef lasagna!

    • "Don't get the beef lasagna!"

      I like the beef lasagna.

      • Really? You didn’t find it overly sweet and not saucy at all?

    • beef lasagna is my fav. Just added 3 x to my cart just then.

Yeah, it's just paying for convenience. But I would never pay $6+ per meal. I only buy when there's a coupon

  • If you buy 3 x meal kits (20% off 3 x meal kits) + 3 regular 9.95 meals = per meal comes to approx $5.50

    • 3 meal kits only gets you 15%. need to buy 4 to get 20%
