young_dazza, you can't be too young if you can remember QEMM386 and Norton Commander (4DOS anyone?) ! I too remember Laplink and building my own parallel cable. Can't believe they are still around.

Yeah I remember Laplink as well and how it was about the only convenient way copying files between two network-less PCs (other than unreliable floppies). As of QEMM386 and all that expand/extend memory junks — why do you guys need that? I think 640kb ought to be enough for everyone?

Flashback!! I thought Laplink disappeared back in the days of MS-DOS, Quarterdeck's QEMM386, Norton Commander etc etc… Does it still run in console mode? Does laplink still use cross-over Parallel cables? I would have thought that TCP/IP and ethernet would have made a product like this redundant? I might download this one out of curiosity!
