My account was opened in 2010 and I haven’t received any general ebay emails or promotions since then. I opened other accounts and they are ok but it’s just annoying as I want to use this account that’s linked to my main email.
I called ebay/went on chat and they said the Is my email address which clearly isn’t as I get emails from eBay if I purchase something only.
Anyone else have an old account like mine?
eBay promotions are targeted based on your buying/selling usage among other factors. My regular busy account never gets any special offers but the disused alternate one does all the time. It depends.
I don’t use eBay much maybe 1-3 times a year. I’ve never received an advertising email from them or any promotions at all.
Well you don't qualify for promotions for some reason or other. It's their discretion.
Confirm Communication Preferences under your account - check whether your General email promotions has been indicated
That’s been selected and still no emails
Check junk/spam folder.
